Wait After Page Loads Action causes ScrapeMate to wait a period of time for data to complete loading on the source website before it is scraped. A common use is when a website requires additional load time after the browser have finished loading the site, common for financial or flight data.
If you think the source website requires extra loading time and your ScrapeMap is not capturing the data you specified, or if you notice data is only captured intermittently, try adding a Wait Action.
To add a Wait Action click within the source webpage and the ScrapeMap Wizard Dialog will appear. Select Other Actions: “Wait After Page Loads”.
A new dialog box will display and you can enter a user defined name for the Action. In this example the Name is “Wait”. Action names cannot contain spaces or special characters. An optional more detailed Description can be added. For the Action Data, enter the number of seconds to wait. In this example 10 seconds has been entered.
After clicking OK, the ScrapeMap will display a new Action with a Name of “Wait”. Actions can be modified through the Properties Tool Bar and renamed or deleted in the Explorer Pane by right clicking on the “Wait After Page Loads” Action.
Note that Wait Actions will result in the ScrapeMap running a longer time as it pauses during execution.
