In order to install ScrapeMate you must have a Windows PC running Windows 7, 8, 10 or Windows Server 2008 or more recent with at least 200MB of hard disk space and 2GB of RAM.
After you have signed into your skyLyn account and purchased the ScrapeMate web scraper application, the next step is to download and install. On the skyLyn Applications website, click the download link.
Once the download has completed, you will see the ScrapeMateInstaller box with the ScrapeMate logo in the lower left of the screen. Click on the down arrow as shown below. Then click Open.
You may get a message from Windows Defender. Click “More info”.
After clicking “More info”, you will receive a second screen, Click “Run anyway” to install ScrapeMate.
The next window is the End-User License Agreement. Review the license and then click the statement that indicates you agree to the license terms and conditions, and then click Install.
A Windows Screen displays and asks:
Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?
Once the ScrapeMate Application has finished installing you will see the following window:
The ScrapeMate icon will have appeared on your desktop. Go to your Desktop and double click the icon to open ScrapeMate to complete the licensing process.
When you open the ScrapeMap Application for the first time, a License Wizard will display. Fill in the Machine Name, with the name of your choice (any sequence up to 128 characters). The machine name will be used by you to identify your licensed machines. Then enter your email making sure to use your skyLyn Applications Account email address. Then enter your skyLyn Applications Account password and click “License Machine”.
Now you are all set and ready to start scraping the web data you need.
To see your license information while you are in the ScrapeMate application, go to the Applications Settings icon on the left of the ScrapeMate Explorer Pane. Also, detailed information on your purchases and licenses are available in your Account information on the skyLyn Applications website.
