Data about every web scraping run of a ScrapeMap is stored in the ScrapeMap’s corresponding Log. This XML Log file is located in the same folder as the ScrapeMap and includes information such as when the ScrapeMap was run, how many DataAddresses were scraped and Actions were executed, how much data was written, and if any problems occurred while running the ScrapeMap. The Log can be viewed by opening the ScrapeMap Properties dialog and selecting the Log tab.
In the screenshot below you can see 4 ScrapeMap runs were performed between 9/10/2017 and 9/16/2017.
To see a breakdown of the Log data for each DataAddress and Action, click on the row in the log.
If you are having problems with the data output of your ScrapeMap, be sure to first check the Log to help troubleshoot the issues.
Log rows that are highlighted in yellow have some problems that are categorized as medium, typically DataAddresses with missing data.
Log rows that are highlighted in red have serious problems and must be investigated to determine the problem in order to get accurate and complete results.
To further investigate, the yellow and/or red rows can be clicked into for more details.
