ScrapeMate allows you to run a ScrapeMap on a schedule by creating a ScrapeMap Task. To create a ScrapeMap Task, open the ScrapeMap in the ScrapeMap Explorer Pane and then open the ScrapeMap Properties dialog (Wrench Icon) and select the Task tab.
Click the New Task button.
The Name and Description Task options are automatically created with Task and cannot be changed.
Is Enabled is enabled by default and allows the user to disable the Task without deleting it. This would be useful if you wanted to temporarily stop a Task from web scraping without losing the Task’s parameters.
The Task Trigger Type allows the user to specify if they would like the Task to run multiple times in one day, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. The Task Trigger Type changes the options that follow it.
For MultiDaily Tasks you must specify to Run ScrapeMap Every certain number of hours and minutes. To edit the hours, minutes and seconds, highlight each and over type the time needed.
For Daily Tasks you must specify to Run ScrapeMap Every # Of Days.
For Weekly Tasks you must specify Day Of The Week To Run On.
For Monthly Tasks you must specify the Day Of The Month To Run On, Month Of The Year To Run On and if you want to Run On The Last Day Of The Month.
All Tasks require the user to specify a Task Start Time.
In order for a Task to run, your computer must be turned on and NOT in sleep mode. If your computer is off or in sleep mode the Task will run the next time the computer is on and not in sleep mode. Once a Task has been created it will continue to run unless you delete or disable it.
