Selecting an Action in the Details Pane of the ScrapeMap Properties dialog allows you to edit the properties of that Action.
The user defined Name of an Action should be unique and contain no spaces or special characters.
Description is an optional user defined field to specify additional information about the Action but has no impact on the actual data scraped.
MaxActionRepeats allows you to specify the maximum number of times an Action is repeated. This is only enabled for certain Actions such as BrowseToNext, ClickNext, WaitTime and ScrollToBottom. For BrowseToNext and ClickNext it is a good idea to be realistic about the amount of data you are able to write to your chosen destination, an Excel sheet, for example, cannot easily handle 100k+ rows. Take this into account when setting your MaxActionRepeats.
Selector is a text field that is used to locate the Action data in the data source. For web content this is a CSS selector derived from ScrapeMate’s algorithm. If the Selector is not capturing the data that you would prefer you can manually edit it to target the correct data.
Action Data and Type of Action are both automatically set by ScrapeMate during the creation of the Action. This information is visible for the convenience of the user but they cannot be changed during the life of the Action.
